Popped in for an impromptu dinner at The Heights Bar and was pleasantly surprised. It's amazing what a difference a paint job can do to the ambiance of a place! Much brighter and seemed more cosy. There are three areas to enjoy- seating around the bar to drink and chat, the dining area with an area for whatever entertainment is on, and a separate enclosed area with pool table - didn't explore this area so there may be more to do that I didn't see. We struck a night when karaoke was scheduled for 8pm. We decided last minute to go for dinner and everywhere else was booked, but we managed to get a table at this restaurant by calling ahead. The service was excellent. The chicken dish I ordered was delicious, but the steak sandwich was disappointing due to its heaviness which affected the overall taste. Unfortunately, we had ordered two of them. On Saturday night, there was karaoke which was entertaining to watch, although the host was a bit loud. Many of the singers seemed to be regulars. I would recommend this place as long as you avoid the steak sandwich. It would be nice if the restaurant attracted a younger crowd. The owner was charming.
Reserved a table for fathers day, great start tables that close struggled to get seated, service was acceptable and menu explained, we ordered, mine was the Barramundi, came to the table with a small portion of fish(well cooked) baby carrots, 3 asparagus spears and a potato rosti. Half the asparagus was like eating bamboo, what cook doesn't know how to prepare asparagus! The other meals were average, but again expensive as was the wine. Tried this venue over many years and owners, but never returned until it changed hands, Think this will be the last chance for me.
well visited place, full talksbuzz. selected fish barra) and steak went for a garlic bread divided. reasonable service, eat ok but steak was asked as medium, came as quite rare. seems to be restaurant tendence now, not to cook too much. was raw looking and a bit chewing!? Returned for a little more cook Pls-well done and came back burned on outside and very chew/tough. not good considering it was a special article. a steak will be hard. have had some really nice. Otherwise, good. reasonable if eat ok) . can come back, but will choose to eat more carefully.

This is the old sherlocks, re-vamped to give another operator a go. My wife and I visited last Saturday night, it had only been re-opened for less than a week. Firstly my beer of choice was not available, neither was my wife's choice of wine! Secondly, all employees must be new to pubgame because service was bad. Thirdly, food was good, even though, we waited 45 minutes for it. Management needs to pull it socks up, or face the fate of predessors!
We recently lunched here for a family Father's Day get together. The Bistro is relaxed with a good selection of food at very reasonable prices. My husband and had the Beer battered fish and chips and the fish was excellent. All meals are very big servings and the service was very good.
the personal is so friendly, polite. the food we had is a 10/10 worth every cent. my hubby I go all the few weeks there, sometime during the week at the weekend. we were there as couple, with friends .for a few birthdays.
First went there with a small group of ladies for lunch. Food was fantastic, staff were very friendly and atmosphere was cool and relaxed. Liked it so much that hubby and I often pop in for lunch special.

Went here in Friday for lunch with two friends. Meals were very nice and staff was very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would go back and highly recommend.
