Lived fairly local for many years but never been. We called in on lunch time we hadn't made a reservation but were able to sit in or outside. It was extremely busy and even caught the staff off guard how busy it was too. The atmosphere was lovely and lovely surroundings. We were told we would have a long wait for food, but with the good selection of drinks available. (thank you for a decent 0% gin) we were happy to wait. What a lovely pub. I stayed over for two nights on a little trip to see a friend and do some fishing. The pub was warm and has a lovely wood burner, it is very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The evening meal and morning breakfast were excellent. Even the coffee was great. This is a charming pub with a friendly atmosphere and an excellent riverside location. We enjoyed a perfectly cooked roast, felt very welcome, and the staff were incredibly attentive. I won't hesitate to return!
