This was such a cute restaurant. It’s very spacious and decorative. Lots of stuffed animals, it really does look like a lodge. My friend recommended the Black Bleu Burger so I ordered it. It came with red peppers and I was worried that the flavors would clash but it had the opposite effect. The roasted red peppers really enhanced the Bleu cheese and made it pop. I really enjoyed my burger, this was probably the best black Bleu burger I’ve had in a long time. Service was ok. Our waiter was attentive and kind. A surprisingly wonderful meal! The atmosphere is great ... From a huge antler chandelier to ski chairlift seating, it was delightful without being overdone. It didn't hurt that I was seated by the two blazing fireplaces! The service was terrific, and the food was really, really great! I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with REAL mashed potatoes and delicious green beans. The shrimp salad sandwich looked wonderful, loaded with whole, medium sized shrimp. 1st time visit. It was packed inside outside with a band playing but no wait time. I 'm particular about Nachos tried their Chili Beef Nachos. Tricolor chips with the toppings I look for on Nachos that other places do not offer was a pleasant surprise. They were not soggy either. Great start. My date had 8 Buffalo Wings loved the size crispy skin. Mild Buffalo sauce had a unique flavor that makes u want more. Definitely not ur average sauce, strictly restaurant quality it was very, very good.
I might have a little crush on Madison who saved me from a chili that was too spicy. Sweet and personable, excellent server who was attentive without being intrusive or hovering. Part of a dining experience is having a friendly staff. I believe in acknowledging that in my reviews. The food was very good, somewhat pricey. The food used to be amazing. Unfortunately it’s gone downhill over the last year. This used to be an exception but now You can expect less than ideal bar food. This was $16 calamari, it was tough overcooked and for $16 it wasn’t even enough to share for our table. I let it go until the burger and onion rings had little to no flavor. I miss the original lodge, very disappointing.
Just ate here with the family and I normally order the Black and Blue Berger. This time I ordered the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp. I have found my new favorite dish! Will our waiter was excellent as well!
Very nice dine-in place. Cool atmosphere, very clean. The staff are always nice and attentive. Its a little expensive, but definitely worth it if its a special occasion.
We made a reservation. We're seated close to our time despite being busy. The server was very attentive to our needs. The food was good and came out relatively quick.
