An expensive mediocre experience sums up our visit today. I wanted to order the Southwest Taco Salad until I was asked what kind of protein I wanted and informed that if I wanted taco meat it would be another $5.75 on top of the $17. A taco salad...without the taco meat...ludicrous. So then I ordered the Thai Peanut Wrap and paid for my protein of choice, in this case chicken, and an extra $5 or so dollars, still under $20 so ok, I can live with that. When it arrived I could tell right away it was dry but I decided to give it a go. It so dry and tasteless I could not eat it. The peanut sauce didn't taste like anything other than peanut butter and they grilled the wrap with lettuce inside so...
The atmosphere is great, nice and big. Our server was very attentive. The food was not the best... my turkey club had current toast, rock hard bacon with some dried or turkey. My wife had the Thai peanut wrap and it was the driest wrap that we ever had... and did not have peanut sauce, it has peanut butter mix in it. My kids Mac and cheese bites were good and he was missing some cheese in his quesadilla. For a $80 bill I would not recommend.
We were so disappointed, went here for Father's day dinner. We were seated quickly, waited 20 minutes to get our drinks, at the hour mark still no food, our waitress was no where to be found! We got one refill of our drinks. My husband and myself could not eat the food as its was just horrible! Food arrived after an hour and 20 minutes!!! What a waste of our time and money
The restaurant has a lovely and spacious atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that the portion sizes seemed small for the prices charged. I've never seen such a tiny serving of fries with a dish that cost nearly $20. Aside from that, everything was fantastic! Definitely worth a visit if you have the opportunity. Hidden is a common food stop for us on our journeys through the Red Deer corridor. This is a comment on the service provided. Cayley is probably one of the best servers we ever know. She was very efficient, very friendly, very polite and did everything with a smile on her face. Thank you. Cayley for such a great dinner experience
I can't believe I paid $17.00 for a dozen basic wings that mostly tasted like old frying oil. What a joke! And $11.35 for French soup that was just broth? Come on! None of us will be returning. You're better off taking an extra 5 minutes to head south to RD where you'll get much better value for your money.
I've eaten here a handful of times. Good food and good service. The only thing that I can't stand about The Hideout is that your drink will taste like a Cesar even if you order a Pepsi or water. Really off putting to have that taste if you don't like Cesar's. Probably unhygienic too
