Great pub. Friendly efficient service. Lots of choice of food. menus for vegans, vegetarians and kids. Always a great atmosphere, value for money and huge choice of drink. There is a pool table, darts, and bandit machines which are at a cordoned off section of the bar. I booked the function room upstairs for a birthday with 80 guests. The venue provided a vegan/ vegetarian hot and cold buffet that was enjoyed by everyone. The chef and manager liasied with us and pulled out all the stops to ensure that our requests were answered. The staff at the Holburn Bar provided the best possible service for our family party. Throughout the planning process and on the night of the party, they were friendly and helpful in all aspects. They went to great lengths to amend the buffet menu to suit our needs. Amazing quality of food which was appreciated by everyone at the party. The party was a great success but if I would be critical would suggest the DJ could do with better lighting to accompany his work but wasn’t that bad to ruin the party.
Waited over the time for our meals had to ask if meals was coming food was good myself and my guests had to clear our plates and glasses from table as no staff did this as they were too busy chatting in a corner one of them was a boss and didn’t apologise as I approached and told them we have did your job as yous can’t be bothered just got a dirty look in reply holburn bar not the same as before I have worked in the restaurants in the past and customers always comes first today your staff didnt
Previously it was a five star but after several visits.... It's consistent that the staff are not very friendly, seems a bit lazy and just don't want you spending money in the place. Been rushed out in the past with the kids in, rushed out at 11pm almost every weekday

We went to the quiz night and was a great atmosphere.Didn’t win but had a laugh anyway!Enjoyed some scampi and chips and would go back,as we did all enjoy ourselves.
Food was lovely,good value. Only gripe was the wait,half an hour for starters and an hour after we ordered for mains,only 2 of us and it wasn't that busy.
Great staff who are happy to help. Food is good for the price. Well priced drinks. Beer garden catches the sun and the road isn't an issue.

Second time going there, Fish and Chips was foodgasmic; chef’s kiss. Staff were warm and lovely as usual.
