The food was good when it arrived 45 min wait from ordering to serving and it was not that busy and nothing fancy was ordered only 4 Sunday Lunches. Ordered 2 deserts when they arrived went to get some cutlery only to be told there...were no spoons so we would have to use forks which is more than a bit tricky with ice cream. To be honest we won’t be rushing back soon
We had a great experience here on a wet Sunday afternoon. The place was nicely decked out for Christmas, the Covid protocols were clearly explained to us, and were reassuringly strict, and the food was fantastic. We both had the veggie wellington and thought it...was top notch. A good selection of beers and ciders too. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
I was here a couple times and love the place. we are always warmly welcomed by friendly cheerful staff. that makes such a difference. large selection of beer and stouts makes a refreshing change. the Roast dinner was epic today, the best bratkartoffels I had for a long time. will definitely go back.
We visited a few years ago and on this Chichester visit we had planned to have a meal. Covid precautions were in force and eveywhere appeared clean and well maintained. we went to chichester for the night and returned to this pub in which we were before. beautiful atmospheric, large selection of beer and good employees. we had a light lunch from nachos and chips. it was delicious. all the food that came looked fantastic. would definitely recommend.
Friendly staff in an old style pub with plenty of choices of beer and cider. Food was good, ribs melted in the mouth. Downside was the chips already being salted, but when I asked, a fresh non salted bowl soon arrived. So good thinking of...having a pre Xmas dinner.
Lovely dinner for two. Casual, modern environment. Great selection of beers. Felt very COVID secure. The service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
