We decided to venture to Hermosa Beach for some breakfast and saw that the reviews of this place were pretty good, so we checked it out. It’s located on Pier Ave which during summer months will be really tough to find parking, but we found a spot no problem (thank you winter months). We ordered the oysters (served with a delicious olive oil and micro cilantro which was different and very good), the fish tacos, the clam chowder, the French fries (hold the truffle) and the kale salad. Our server was great. She was very attentive and knew the food prep well. The reason I say that is because I always ask about how salad’s are dressed because I don’t need much dressing on mine… you’d be surprised...
This experience was outstanding. The tuna poke and clam chowder were amazing appetizers. The cheddar scallion biscuits drizzled with honey with the blueberry lime jam were quite tasty. Unfortunately, it was all so good that we were getting full and didn’t get to savor enough of the chicken and catch of the day as our entrees, which were really exceptional! The leek cream sauce with arugula and cranberries on the chicken was delectable. The sauce with the catch of the day (pan fried sea bass) was also incredible. And I can’t forget to mention the brussel sprouts. The addition of the capers to those is quite ingenious as it adds some tangy balance to the richness of the sprouts’ glaze. Amazing...
We went to Hook and Plow and had an amazing dinner and experience the food was so delicious and the service was spectacular I had the octopus special and my wife had the hamburger both were excellent and cooked to perfection we will definitely be back!
Strange menu in that it was weirdly hard to find something that looked tasty to order but the food was good when it came. Went with a large group and the service at the end of the meal for dessert and getting the bill was painfully slow.

This is not a normal restaurant. The only thing good is the service. I tried a couple of things from the Happy Hour menu and both were disappointing. I’ve had much tastier food from Denny’s. The food is boring, bland, and tasteless.

Great dinner spot in Hermosa Beach! I recommend the sea bass The furikake fries are also delicious and I personally didn’t try the salmon salad but my friends loved it.
Delicious!! My fiancée loved the fish. We had a great cheese plate and I loved the wine. Super cute inside, reasonable prices and fantastic food. Will return! Xx
