For our appetizer, we shared a half root salad with olive bread, which was the highlight of the meal for me! The addition of jicama was a delightful twist, and the olive bread was fantastic—definitely worth the extra $2. For our main courses, we both ordered Cuban bowls; my wife had hers with jerk chicken (the better option of the two), while I went for the pork. We both thoroughly enjoyed our dishes—hers had a bit more heat, but I spiced mine up with the house-made curry hot sauce. Overall, we had a great dining experience and can’t wait to return!
My husband and I spent a week in Black Mountain and found ourselves dining at Goldfinch several times. I became absolutely enamored with their tacos. We really enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere and the outdoor seating. The staff was fantastic, making us feel like we had made new friends by the end of each visit. If you enjoy spicy food, definitely ask about their homemade habanero carrot hot sauce. (And trust me, give it a taste before smothering it on everything). This place is a gem, and we can't wait to return on our next trip.
They managed my gluten and dairy allergies exceptionally well. The service was attentive and efficient, and the views are beautiful; the patio is a wonderful spot to enjoy the evening. However, I found the food to be somewhat inconsistent. While the vegan, gluten-free cheesecake was fantastic, my main course was somewhat disappointing—rather bland and lacking flavor. This was my favorite place during our trip. The ambiance, the staff, the drinks, and the food were all fantastic. I don't think my husband and I have ever spent so much time in a bar before. I just wish we had more room to try more dishes. The toasts we ordered were incredible. My husband sampled every drink on the menu, and Jackie was just wonderful. Definitely check this place out!

I stopped by tonight for a quick drink and had a great experience. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service was attentive. I chose to sit outside, which was enjoyable. I had dinner, and the price per person was around $10 to $20. Overall, a nice place to relax and grab a beer!
