We recently hosted my Uncle’s wake at the Horse and Chains Pub with around 35 guests in the restaurant area. The staff were amazing, very accommodating and laid-back. The pub was cozy, clean, and spacious enough for our group to socialize. The food was delicious, plentiful, hot, and a great selection, all served on time. The bar service was quick and efficient despite the crowd. The venue had everything we needed, including parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. We are glad we chose this venue and will definitely be back as locals. Vegetarian options were available and dietary restrictions were catered for. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
"The Sunday roast at this charming pub was excellent. Although it was a bit quiet, I actually enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The beers on tap were good and the beer garden was nice. I will definitely be returning. The car park is small with limited spaces, but there are free parking spaces on the road opposite. The average price per person is around £30-40. I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5."
Had veggie Sunday roast, felt like it was bought from the shop frozen and cooked in an oven. Potatoes were dry, gravy like jelly and cauliflower cheese tasted just like cheese sauce and was very watery. Maybe in-week food is better. Maybe because we got there late in the afternoon. But nothing tasted or felt fresh. Would come back for drinks but not food Food: 1

Just had a beer and lunch at the new Horse Chains. The burger was fantastic, like Honest Burger quality! The service was great and dog friendly, too. Will be back soon!
The restaurant is welcoming, has a great atmosphere, and serves hearty food. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you enjoy traditional pub culture.
