We stayed at the Imaginarium the night after booking. Come to take a cheap way. We paid £62 for one night breakfast for 2. Check in from 1am 9am check out 11am. If you check before the restaurant opens either knock or give them a call. We were warmly greeted by a lovely gent named Lee. Check in quick easy. We stayed in room 6. Very cozy, clean melting amazing! Double bed, TV, kettle with tea coffee cupboard space. Clean bathroom with shower too. We had booked a table for 7 in the restaurant downstairs. Booked for a meal for 4 Saturday night, earliest booking was 8pm which was fine. Waited til around 8.15/ 20 to be taken to our table. Asked if someone would take our order after waiting quite a while. 5 minutes later order was taken and we waited for our food for a while. We asked for a pudding menu and ordered. By the time we had been served our pudding time was getting on. This wasn't a problem, we were in no rush. Problem was as soon as we finished eating the bill appeared on our table and someone turned up with the card machine, our table was cleared of all the glasses except for one which my friend picked as it full to stop it being taken. The Imaginarium Restaurant run by Lee, Tracey and staff never fails to deliver and Friday evening was no exception. Our 44th wedding anniversary, and it wasn't a hard decision where to go to celebrate. The restaurant was buzzing with people, but we were seated quickly...and didn't have to wait for drinks and menu. I like to take a few minutes to decide what I want to eat and the staff are very good at coming to you, just at the right minute. I never eat fish in a restaurant, because it is invariably overcooked, but Lee knows how to cook fish and my sea bream was perfectly cooked. We have just moved to the area and it was our first visit to the imaginarium. We couldn’t believe how big it was and how beautiful inside was. Certainly a hidden gem. The atmosphere was so lovely and it was full. We had a steak and a calzone and the food was all amazing! Service was brilliant and we wasn’t waiting long for drinks or food. The garden room is beautiful. We were so taken by the place we asked for information on booking for our wedding. This will definitely become our regular eating/drinking spot.
I don't even know where to start. We went to this restaurant for dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The special birthday dessert for my daughter was a delightful surprise and really made her day. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is very attentive. We are so glad we found this hidden gem!
Great place to stay. Very stylish and quirky. Exceeded expectations. Lee is a fabulous host and chef. He is there first thing in the morning and still there last thing at night smiling and looking after his customers. and The breakfast was outstanding. Lee clearly...uses top quality ingredients.
Been a good few months since we last had a Sunday lunch here and todays was as good as ever. Minor changes to the serving and the crispy kale is a great addition. Sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble to finish ….. As usual great...service at an unhurried pace.
Amazing place and really nice welcoming staff. Gorgeous food, quite upset I hadn't been before now but will definitely be back with it being on my doorstep. Nathan does an amazing job at manager too and making sure everything's running smoothly!
First visit and will certainly return. The garden room was beautifully lit with fairy lights and candles and I felt like you were somewhere else completely. Service was five star and the food completely surpassed my expectations.
