We often come here during the day, but this was our first visit for dinner. And we were pleasantly surprised. They offer shared tasting plates which are varied and interesting. We chose two dishes, but made the mistake of having them come at the same time - it's probably better to space them out a bit. But the food was nice and the portion sizes very generous. Two dishes were easily big enough for two of us. There isn't a huge range of wines, but they're not too pricey and the one we chose was good. A word of warning - they definitely close at 9.30, so it's better to get there a little early to avoid being rushed. All in all we enjoyed the food, the service, the atmosphere and it wasn't over...
I first dined at the Incinerator when I was a child back in the 80's and it's since had a lovely refurbishment. The current cafe provides wonderful, fresh contemporary Australian/Euro cuisine in a buzzing vibrant atmosphere. Wonderful spot for families as there is a playground and walking/bike tracks right there. I've dined here for breakfast and lunch several times and always had very yummy food. The house smoked trout with eggs for breakfast is amazing - up there with the best breakfasts I have ever had. As it is concrete flooring and popular with young families, it isn't the place you'd choose for a quiet chat.
Nestled in Saturday-morning-sport and Sunday-morning-walk heartland, this is a blessed relief from both. The food is good, the kitchen efficient and the servings generous (memo to management though - if the meal involves toast, sending out just one slice is unnecessarily mean). The menu on the website gives you an inkling of what is available, though it bears only passing resemblance to the "Brunch" menu that was on offer when we ate here over Easter on a beautiful autumn morning. You can't book, but our large group waited less than 10 minutes for a table.
We've been here for lunch or tea several times. This was our first dinner. Venue: is on the small side, not overwhelming, with the kitchen in full view. The ambience is great, if a little on the noisy side.Service: fast, friendly, helpful, likeable. Great stuff.Meals: this took us a little by surprise. They're share-plates, each main meal feeds two. On a sunny day at lunch time, the outside tables can get very busy as it is perfect for people with children who cannot sit still. Inside can by noisy when full.Lunch time menu is cafe-style - with a mixture of burgers and meals. Everything we had was good - if a bit more expensive that the average cafe.Coffee was good.Service was friendly, available and attentive.We've been a few times and will come back.
If you don't mind toddlers, pre-teen banter creating a lot of noise, then this place is for you! Nestled in the middle of suburbia, you would expect a rowdy family atmosphere, and it did not disappoint! The food was appetizing and the girls who served us were lovely. There is seating outdoors and they welcome dogs too :-)
It is lovely to sit outside under the trees and enjoy a coffee. Although not an extensive menu the cafe makes the decision difficult with great choices. perfect light ladies lunch
