Dallas has no Michelin starred restaurants, so when planning a trip to DC, I booked early to ensure that we got in. Unfortunately, I later realized, that The Inn at Little Washingon is in Washington, VIRGINIA (not D.C. . 1.5 hours away from where we would be. Doh. The full meal with gratuity is prepaid, so when it was clear after booking and paying, that we definitely wouldn't have time for the mini road trip during the initially planned visit, they allowed me a 1-time reservation change, which was great. First, the service was amazing and we never had want for anything, as everything was given and taken away, right when needed. Our food was amazing and unique, such as the pear ; and the duck was incredible (super fresh , shareable in size, and almost blown out of the sky by the fig and pear purée nearby. We went to the Inn at Little Washington while visiting the Shenandoah mountains, and it was an experience of our lifetime! First off, starting off with a complementary valet they didn't need a ticket to remember us our car. The attendant led us to the Maitre'D, who sat us at our table right away. I'm pregnant and they were super accommodating, allowing me to swap out some of my dishes for a vegetarian menu since I didn't want to go full vegetarian : Every single dish was so well thought of put together. Lovely restaurant. This was our third visit and the drinks and dinner did not disappoint. From the Amuse bouche to the pear cheesecake with compote, every bite was a unique experience. My sister was visiting from out of state and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I so have one nitpicky thing to say. I am only saying it because it is five stars and very expensive. The hors d'oeuvres that were passed around were outstanding, and the cocktails crafted by our bartender were also exceptional. As expected, everything was of the highest quality. We enjoyed a multi-course dinner with wine pairings, and the service felt like a perfectly orchestrated performance. Every detail was executed flawlessly, with each of the five courses and their respective wine pairings arriving and being cleared away seamlessly. Each dish was exquisite, from the beef carpaccio paired with Caesar salad ice cream to the lobster and gnocchi, and the wagyu ribeye. When you need to have all your senses overwhelmed, spend the night at the exquisite Inn at Little Washington, enjoy dinner, and get recharged at breakfast the next morning!!! While there are probably more cattle and horses than people in Washington, VA, once you cross the threshold into the Inn, you 're in a whole different dimension. Every ambiance detail that a large team of designers and craftsmen have imagined are there to enjoy. The food was beyond imagination and deserving and worthy of its 3 Michelin stars! It was the best meal I've ever had! The service is outstanding and feels very personal. The valet remembers you by name, and your car is ready as soon as you settle your bill. Each dish is thoroughly explained, and they are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions with personalized substitutions. The portion sizes are just right; you won't feel the need to stop at McDonald's afterward. The flavors of each dish are unique and perfectly balanced. The restaurant has a classic ambiance with beautiful interior design and decor. Overall, the entire experience was truly unforgettable and fully lived up to the expectations of a three Michelin star establishment.

Food and service is over the top. I don't believe there is a better dinning experience in the Northern Virginia Washington D.C. area. Get ready for an incredible treat when you eat at this place, plus we recommend staying the night, their accommodations are incredible.
