Never eaten here before but its always had great reviews. Our M1. House Special Ramen was not good. Broth smelled strange and had very little flavor. Egg was unseasoned and hard cooked (different than every other ramen Ive ever had...usually soft boiled). Sushi roll was decent but the fish inside was cooked and chewy. The roll was deep fried but even then, usually the fish is raw. Maybe that was our mistake. Ultimately, we ate half the sushi roll and threw away the ramen. Never experienced anything quite like that before. Hopefully it was an anomaly since people seem to love this place.
Very good value! It is not a place for a romantic dinner but it is a great place for any day dinner. Service is great, very attentive waiters. They serve a fantastic cucumber salad as you are sitting down, really refreshing and tasteful. We had a few rolls and they were pretty good; my favorite was the double salmon roll. Really great value around 40 dollars for a lot of food: 3 starters and 3 large rolls! Coming back soon!
They kind of messed up the reservation, said it was for 5:30, and they gave away my table. But i had the text that said it was for 5:45. They got us a table within 5 minutes and had very attentive service. Korean kalbi ribs were tasty but a little tough. My husband and son both enjoyed their tempura meals, the sushi roll and spicy edamame. Its a little hotter that the one served at sushi café on Alhambra.
This unique little ramen place almost turned me away for not having veggie options but after chatting for a minute they said well we have ramen and udon if that 's ok lol yes ramen is ok! The ramen was great and the server was nice. I really liked the dive bar kind of vibe too it felt homey.

This is among our favorite neighborhood restaurants, so nice and friendly, and the food is great. The soft shell crab small plate is fun to begin with. We also love the oysters. Then we love so many of the various sushi rolls, especially those with avocado.
Surprisingly good food in not the best neighborhood. Unimpressive from the outside but excellent sushi and some delicacies I haven't seen in other Japanese restaurants esp. the salmon kama (collar) very tasty and well prepared.
Always a good meal to be had here ... I love the R2. Real California Roll and the M2. Beef Ramen the house special ramen and chicken sukiyaki .... fairly priced and good atmosphere ....
Great sushi restaurant! This place also has a huge menu filled with various dishes. My go-to sushi restaurant in Sacramento!

It was a nice and genuine place to go on a date and get to know someone.
