Manager was SUPER rude to us!! Went for KC Restaurant Week. They had a Red envelope promotion going on. It stated that we had to return sometime in February to redeem what was in it. Nowhere on the envelope did it state that only 1 envelope could be opened per table per night. For the last couple of years, my friend and I have been talking about trying The Jacobson, but we usually end up trying someplace else that had slightly better reviews. My husband and I went there on a Friday night, we arrived about 5:30. The restaurant wasn’t too busy yet, only a couple of tables were filled. The hostess seated us at a booth and gave us menus. The hostess was an absolute gem. It was super-busy, but she remained calm, gracious and helpful the entire time we were there. (Our table was near the reception desk, so I could see her while we dined. I had worn snow boots because of the weather, and she kindly let me stash them under the table in the waiting area so I could change into my dress shoes. She was welcoming to us and all who arrived, no matter how many folks showed up.

We made reservations for Valentine's day. We were seated immediately. Service was good food was delicious. Great atmosphere. My husband had the Amish fried Chicken and I had shrimp and pasta. Chicken was different but good different. I think it was skinless but however it is cooked it as a crispy coating and It was full of flavor. Shrimp and pasta was pretty good too! We reserved seats for dinner here on a Friday night, we were seated outdoors. Cool fire pit to keep you warm in the cooler nights. We order lots of items to share at the table…Beets, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, mac n cheese, cheese and meat plate and smoked salmon. Loved it all! And the signature drinks can be served in flasks if you’d like more than one drink. Cool option.
The absolute customer service I've ever had! The waiter was so rude, I can't believe he works in the service industry. Food was mediocre at best and grossly overpriced. Never going back.
Walked around for 20 minutes trying to find the entrance. Is this place closed? There's no signage, and the phone number goes nowhere, but the website is still up.
