If I could ADD more stars I would. I ate there earlier today and so very pleased with everything. I am a celiac and can not eat gluten, they went above and beyond to accommodate me! My server whose name I forgot to get was wonderful! This was my first time eating in a restaurant in months for fear of being glutened. Truly amazing staff! My server even said that her manager was preparing my food herself to ensure safety. The food (the pork nachos) were delicious and now hours later no signs or symptoms of gluten. Huge, huge Thank you!!
We are here in Mineola on vacation. Our experience at this restaurant was such a disappointment. The food was just terrible. The beef chimichanga reminded me of a cheap Philly steak on a hard bun, not a flaky tortilla like I expected. It was covered in a cheap queso sauce that tasted like powdered cheese. The refried beans were extremely salty, the guacamole was a runny guacamole sauce, what the heck was that stale puff shell? 45 bucks down the drain?
Im biased from visits to Cancun for dental work, the food is amazing- the food here is above average for rural east texas (on par with Chui's IMO, so thats pretty darn good), had great people working there! My server was top notch, couldn't ask for better service. My parents really enjoyed themselves, so I'm happy Kid-friendliness: Free ice cream cones for the kids (or kids at heart)
We usually visit this restaurant 2-3 times a month but recently as a party of 3, we waited 25 min. outside in 102° heat with my 85 yr. mother at 5pm. We finally were seated and then waited another 30 min. without seeing a waiter or being checked on. Got upand left to go to another nearby restaurant. Their service has really gone downhill. No longer a customer.

We visited yesterday 10/2 around 6pm and I didn't catch her name but the manager on duty was awesome and went out of her way to get my card to me that I left on the table. Mineola location. 8 minutes before we saw our server 21 total minutes to receive chips. We had to go get our own napkins. Received puff taco 16 after order with no silver. Meal came with no silverware too. Queso came after we got our meal. Manager did take care of that for us. Worst service I can remember.
I got the lunch quesadillas. They were a little dry and the cheese was pretty well set by time they got to the table. It didn't have the cheese pull you hope for. Still tasted good, esp. dipped in salsa.
