The Jazz Club is a small live music bar situated in the Madejski stadium complex in Reading. For our main courses, my wife ordered a roasted pepper tart topped with mozzarella cheese and I ordered a filet steak cooked very rare. When the food arrived, my steak was perched on mashed potato and surrounded with gravy. I cut into the steak and it was very dark inside but the light was poor, so I tasted it and it was cold and raw. I tasted the mash, it was luke-warm and watery. Couple of weeks ago, five of my friends and I went out for a meal at The Jazz Cafe in Reading. This was one of the best nights out we've ever had! On our way in we were welcomed by a very friendly man and escorted to the bar area where we were served immediately by a professional barman. A few minutes later a lady from the staff came and introduced herself and explained that we will be seated shortly! In less than minutes a waitress came and showed us our table, which we found out we could use for the whole night! The food was lovely! In the bar area, we were promptly attended to by a professional bartender. Shortly after, a hostess came out, welcomed us, and informed us that we would be seated soon. Within minutes, a waitress led us to our table, which we were able to use for the entire evening. I went to the Jazz Club in January for a special night out. We arrived early and had to wait at the bar, even though there were empty tables. Our soup starter came out quickly and was decent, but not outstanding. The main course arrived soon after, but it was clear that the chef wasn't at their best that night. The food was okay, but not up to our expectations. We waited a long time for the entertainment to start and the club became too crowded and noisy. We left early for the Hotel bar, which looked promising. I may give the Jazz Club another chance in the future, but I will book a later table to have a more enjoyable dining experience.

We have our engagement party at The Jazz Cafe, 28. October 2022. The staff was amazing, helpful and could not do enough to plan our evening. They offered a nice buffet, and they sorted the welcome and toast drinks for us, so we mix with our guests. Thank you. Donna and Hess.
I just wanted to say thank you very much for all your help in arranging our celebration. We all had a wonderful time and I’m sure we’ll be back again in the not too distant future.

Company xmas party. Food was OK xmas fare, Brussels tasteless. Band more than for food.
