Service here was amazing. Dean was serving us and went through every aspect of the menu. Offered suggestions on drinks with certain food. The place is lucky to have someone like this working there. The atmosphere was great and the food hit the spot. We went for the steak and it was cooked exactly as asked for. Tender meat. The Keg has been one of our family?s ?go to? restaurants for the last few years. We came to the Whistler Keg for the first time celebrating mil birthday but disappointingly found that our favourite Prime rib was over cooked! The server was so kind to switch a different one for me but it was the same thing. Take a look at my Medium Rare here it was like Medium to Medium Well. And the whole roast seemed to be over cooked. What an awesome dining experience! As long as the Keg has been in operations it's obvious why they continue to thrive in the 2020s. The food continues to be great and served in a timely manner. I was in Whistler for part of my honeymoon and I booked a table with the Keg. All I told them was that it was our honeymoon and they went above and beyond. The restaurant itself is very gorgeous and has several levels, but the service and food is second to none in Whistler. I got their bone-in steak with drinks and appies. Amazing location, service, cocktails, and the starter bread was delicious with the garlic butter cheese spread. My wife got the Prime Rib which was cold and lacked tenderness. My peppercorn steak was somewhat chewy and for 49 CAD it was a terrible cut. I will come back but will try something else..
Excellent service! We went to Montreal branch and we had normal ribeye (not seared) so we had to try the seared one. My bf had Ribeye bone-in and it was more complex combination of texture and flavor, very appetizing color. I enjoyed my steak and lobster. Billy miner pie was enough for two people!
I?ve been to the Keg several times but first time here in Whistler. All was fine (as usual) except that the waiter was mistaken with one of the steaks; we got a well done instead of medium! We informed him, he apologized, and that was it! Besides, it was served after a long wait.
