First of all, thanks to Peter who uncomplainingly adjusted our booking multiple times due to changes in our circumstances. The pub is taking sensible, but not over the top, COVID precautions. Roast beef was excellent with a good selection of vegetables and nice choice of...desserts, all at reasonable prices and washed down by a lovely pint or two of Timmy Taylor Landlord bitter. Friendly service. Only downside was decor was a bit drab I get that they are aiming for shabby chic but it could certainly use a freshen up.
we looked good around here. the menu is good, but not extensive (maybe it is the current time.) we went there a few times and would have gone back, we would have found a little more choice on the menu, but this is just our personal...likes/dislikes of the service was very friendly and efficient, eating great and much of it. the homemade cake was top notch. Do not miss this little jewel in any case, glad that we have tried.
Lovely evening at this cosy local pub in the beautiful village of Wendover. Delicious burgers with home cut double cooked chips, pie of the day (beef and Stilton) and vegetarian chilli with homemade nachos all went down a treat. Sticky toffee pudding and hot chocolate...brownie we’re also a hit. Very friendly service. Exceeded our expectations, will definitely return.
a return to the service and what a nice place to visit. great service in a cozy, traditional pub atmosphere with a full selection at the bar and enough gins to sail a ship! select made easily with peters guide and a fantastic setting to...unwind will be back!

this is a fabulous local pub, with a very good selection of drinks, a varied menu of well-made local favorites and a beautiful environment. the music is especially well chosen and the service is on place. can not wait to go back!
Still able to sit in garden and safely socialise with our four friends under their new cleverly designed marquee. Complete with atmospheric lights and heaters for next week. Excellent Sunday lunch and warm welcome as usual.
We had an excellent lunch in here we had a small room at the front to ourselves and the staff and food was fantastic we only had sandwiches but they were chunky and well filled
Enjoyed our visit last week. The young chap and the lovely lady with the beautiful dress were so attentive. Thank you for recommending the grapefruit gyn, we Enjoyed our visit.

have the pleasure to enjoy the unique atmosphere fine ales for over a decade. it is visited by a mix of natives, whose is always a banter joke or to have.
Had a great meal in this pub when visiting Wendover. Lots of atmosphere despite complying with the Covid regulations.
