We arrived at noon during Tall Ships and the Folk Harbour Festival. The pub was super busy. We were greeted by a very friendly and professional staff. Our server was a delightful young lady. All the tables were taken so we were seated at the bar and our order was taken while we had a beer. A table came available in approx. 10-15 mins and our food arrived a few minutes after we were seated. We each had fishcakes and fries and they were delicious. We noticed some of the food orders other patrons had and they all looked very tasty. All the portions, including our own were very generous. We finished with coffee as we were simply too stuffed for dessert! We truly experienced why Trip Advisor rate...
We passed what looked like this tiny, cute little pub on our way in to Lunenburg. After walking around Lunenburg, we decided to go back to this pub for dinner. Glad we did! We had our dogs with us, but the day was not very hot, and we were able to find parking with lots of shade just across the street from the pub. Once we got it there, we realized it was much bigger than it looked. It was like walking into a whole new world. We loved the atmosphere, the beer, the food, and the service! Would love to go here again!
This pub is just across the street from our B@B. Our host suggest that we walk over since we were late getting in and did not want to go downtown. The place was packed with locals , but a nice Canadian couple invited us to eat with them. I started with a Hell Bay light ale and had scallops and fries my wife had fried shrimp. Both delicious. The food, service and pub atmosphere were fantastic.
Ate here twice whilst visiting Lunenburg. The food was so yummy and reasonably priced, we returned a second time. Particularly in enjoyed the mussels - the 1lb was certainly big enough for one!The atmosphere was excellent and we noted how busy they were with a constant flow of customers.It was a very short walk from the CBD of Lunenburg.
This is a wonderful place! We enjoyed mussels and beer while there. It is a busy place. We got there when they opened and within 30 minutes or so, the place was packed. All the food going by looked delicious! Don't miss stopping at this place.
Was our target. Maybe it's hidden, or maybe my Harley Davidson GPS Boom had it screwed up. Sometimes, smaller older establishments lack gps savy.
This place was recommend to us by some locals on a boat tour. Awesome food, great atmosphere. Live music was a treat. Sure to not disappoint.
