I came with 2 friends and we were looking forward to a last lunch together before Christmas, But the food was very poor, I had Hunters chicken which should have come with bbq sauce but there was virtually none and the chicken was so dry and tasteless without the sauce and it was the first time I had ever had cold peas! The waitress asked if everything was ok and I said it was disappointing that it wasn’t as described, she just said she would pass that onto the chef! The manager came over after a few minutes and said he hoped we would return and the next time we came it would be better, well I’m sorry there probably won’t be a next time at least not for a meal, I don’t expect gourmet food but...
Don't bother ordering any food waited 1 and a half hours for food. When it arrived clearly microwaved! Awful! The manager needs to own the problem and support their staff. Some were outside having a break and clearly were very unhappy. Nice pub just don't eat! Although when I asked for a festive special drink they didn't have lemon juice. Not thought about going to the shop to get some? Felt very sorry for front of house staff trying to hold it together. Managers just communicate with the guests so they know what's happening. It was given to us on the house but the food wasn't edible when it finally arrived. We were recommended to eat here by our friends who live in Norfolk and who ended up...
Honestly … don’t even bother. Not even going to waste any more time on this place as I waited enough for ping “food” if you can call it that! Disgusting how you can cause such upset over a meal. No communication. I don’t understand how you can advertise award winning meals yet can serve better at home. Staff are fed up of complaints but the only way this is going to change is a serious business plan change. Feeling sorry for anyone booked in for festive celebrations, hopefully you are not as disappointed as we were.
We went to the restaurant for a Sunday roast and both ordered the triple roast. The service was great, but there were some issues with the meal. I received and ate my meal before my partner's even arrived at the table, missing stuffing and tender stem broccoli. Most of the dishes seemed like they had been kept warm for a long time. The roast potatoes were oily and soft, overall disappointing in quality. Despite our concerns, the staff was apologetic and provided good service.

I came in with my daughter as we have done for a few years at Christmas time for a roast dinner unfortunately the food was very poor,instant mash potato, parsnips roast potatoes were very under cook really hard.....I asked for apple sauce for my pork I was brought dessert apple sauce which I obviously scrapped of my pork....I guess this pub must have new owners and chef because the food was always spot on and lovely ,but not now.we will not be back, such a shame.
Do not go can’t understand the star value , ordered food waited over 11 2hours for a microwaved pie mash and hard vegetables.Also the festival drinks on the menu were not available staff tried there best ,management hid and didn’t care . I know it’s Christmas and a busy time of the year but this is absolutely bad food and service . Head office need to sort out or mystery shop this establishment to get a grip
Juan was incredibly friendly, welcoming us with a warm greeting, and the rest of the staff were all kind and courteous. The outdoor seating area is pleasant, equipped with heaters to keep you toasty on chilly evenings.
Some good, some bad my Steak was petfect but my peppercorn sauce was minimal...My Wifes Venison pie was pretty hollow espessially for the £17+ price. Kids meals good value just a shame it was my Wifes Birthday treat.

Waited for an hour and a half for our food. Some dishes were terrible, especially the Beef Bourguignon which was nothing like it should have been. The desserts were very small.
Came for a family friends birthday celebration, waited over an hour for food which when it came was uneatable! Very disappointing and staff weren't overly helpful either...
