I booked dinner here for my mums birthday in February. Everything was amazing. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The food (home made pie! amazing! and beer were great. We live in London and most pubs have pretty much the same menu and we cant remember the last time we found one that actually made their own food. The difference is staggering. If anybody is taking this for granted, please don't! We would desparately love to have a local pub like this. Please love and cherish it for us until we can return. Thank you.
Visited whilst holidaying in the area. Friendly local pub with great beer and gin selection. On second evening stayed for dinner both went for lasagne which was absolutely loaded with good quality beef, extremely tasty and thoroughly enjoyable, served with homemade garlic bread and a small salad on lovely crockery. An additional side of crispy, hot salty fries wasn’t really needed but lovely all the same. Would definitely recommend a visit
Enjoyed drinks and dinner on a couple of occasions while on holiday in Urchfont. We were warmly welcomed and received excellent service throughout our visits. Our small dog was especially welcome! Delicious food, wine and lager We hope to return one day. In the meantime we will recommend to friends and family. Thank you.
Arrived on the off-chance for an early dinner, the pub was already very busy at 7pm which was encouraging but it was impossible to even get a flicker of acknowledgment behind the bar as the staff were just busy chatting to other customers. Quite frustrating. Food was ok, service was well-meaning but pretty poor.

Really lovely little village pub. Steak and ale pie was excellent. Gluten free fish and chips was one of the best we’ve seen. Skittles room available upstairs which made our evening even more fun. Friendly staff and great beers it’s 5 stars from us!
Lovely to have a warm and friendly welcome. Felt immediately comfortable and loved the series of small rooms and furniture. We only stayed for a drink but will return for food. Urchfont is beautiful.
We only visit when the scarecrow trail is on. Staff are always welcoming and friendly great food and great atmosphere
