I meet in every couple weeks for lunch in the week with friends. it's always quiet, so no problems getting a table. eating is always good and served in good time, and the place itself is always clean and tidy. the only smaller handle is that the personal, as it is quiet, is slightly bored and this is reflected in its customer service. they are always polite, but fight to stand up a head of steam to move from their hidden perforated table in the corner with their mates to serve at the bar. if the personal was more enthusiastic and customer concentrated, it would have been a five points.
Over the years of visiting this pub mostly at the weekend for a quick drink and snack with my young family I have continued to request more vegan options rather than just a basic salad and fries. Before the summer 2019 they introduced a new menu with clear vegan options and we have tried each of their new offerings and have to say we are pleased with the greater choice. The staff are very friendly. Prices also reasonable. Good for families especially at lunch time.

juli’19 update new vegan menu introduced. delicious. could be even more salate / whole food plant based. good Gin selection, too. 25.08.18 updated 3 to 4 stars decor with new, friendly and competent management team. however limited vegan options. november 2017 local high street pub with decent lunch menu. spacious and good for children too. wheelchair access to the rear.

I popped into the lancer for a drink with my sister and the experience was impecible. The manager Andy is such a nice and genuine person who makes me feel so welcome. If you get the opportunity to get served by this man, it will really make your experience even better. He makes the lancer and is an asset to their team!!
a beautiful pub with a good selection of warehouses and crafts. a beautiful small garden on the back with a heated smoker area. personal, where friendly and friendly and the menu had something for everyone. the pizzas we had met at the place, the children were happy.
This is a lovely pub with good beer, decent food, friendly staff and a nice pool table. I would advise people to stay clear of the night life as it crowded and boring. Daytime and evening Good!!!. Night time club Bad!!!
The restaurant is a wonderful establishment with a cozy pub feel. Don't be fooled by the entrance, as the interior is even better and there is also a beer garden outside.
