We use this place maybe 4 or 5 times a week. Spend a lot of money there. Good value for what you get and 90% of the staff are great. And that 's the issue today. Enter the large, ponytail haired lady with glasses and looks like she 's been chewing wasps all night. I assume her role entails customer service and satisfaction but I assumed wrong and to be honest should have known better having observed her on numerous occasions. We took our two dogs into the beer garden which was a third occupied and by the way had no signs to say no dogs in that area. Spoons needs to send a mystery shopper and do something urgently! I do not know who would ever give this place 5 stars. I have been here on several occasions and it has always been shocking. The first few times I gave them the benefit of the doubt but after a 7 month break I thought perhaps it was under new management and had improved. It hadn't. Staff are rude and slow and cannot carry more than two plates at a time. Cannot be bothered with simple tasks like wiping down tables or fetching cutlery. Nothing feels clean in this place and i always feel like im going to catch something. The food takes forever to come and you will wish you had eaten anywhere else but here. So that is my advice to...
Two of our three meals were great but we ordered a tuna and cheese melt that came without any cheese. We raised this as an issue and the manager (Josh) was dismissive and said all he could do was order it to be made again. We were in a rush so couldn’t wait. I asked to escalate it and a really nice young man called Macaully was understanding and lovely, He couldn’t do much given his manager had already said there was nothing that could be done but he was understanding and nice which was lovely.
Food was very poor, one had burger which was burnt no relish and about 8 chips, 3 of us had chicken strips which states with mayo,there was one completely with no mayo, and just a dot of mayo on the other two and a mean a dot not even as big as a 1p piece when asked if there was any more mayo was given a snapped back answer of no, and we had probably 6/7 chips there was not hello from the server and our plates was thrown down in front of us will never go again and will tell people not to go Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Very rude staff member (Eve) she struts around shaking her hair all over the place even whilst carrying food she slams the plates down agressivly never smiles has no customer care skills and seems very inconfident about her work this isant on 1 occassion its how she goes about all the time.. so many people have stopped going to the last post due to her being very rude and unpleasant really cannot understand how she is still employed there... She actually frightens people
Worse weatherspoons ? .. worse pub I have ever been in and I’ve been in a few . Tables filthy . The most rudest staff I have ever met ! .. used to go a lot but after the last time , told my partner we will never go again . The barmaid was very rude , and when pulled up in her behaviour then glared at me for the 2 hours I was there . All I can say is desperate for staff used to be a lovely pub .
Visited Thursday 27th April 2023. As a group of friends we meet here once a month for drinks and have done for over 10years. At Christmas we also have a meal. I have to report that the drinks this time were not very nice. Had no real taste and short measures. We then noticed what looked like a service engineer working on them. After he had gone we risked another drink but still wasnt good.
Came yesterday and one of your members of staff went above and beyond for me and my friends, he had a smile on him all the time we was there and gave great service, thank you Macauley your a great laugh mate Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Absolutely terrible service.. how has this lady still working in customer service.. literally slams the food and drinks down.. no eye contact or communication nothing! Family with kids aswell. Shocking
