I wrote a review a few months ago and gave it five stars. Last night was average. The chicken wings seemed to have shrunk in size compared to how many we got last time. Obviously for a kilo of wings you just have to trust that they are giving you that much.Drinks are quite expensive, my friends were drinking ciders that are now $9 a glass. We don't remember it been that expensive last time. Lastly, the bar staff weren't as good as last time either. Two of the guys were standing at the bar chatting while I was waiting to get served and the poor girl was serving two before me and then myself... customer service could definitely be improved.
Three of us came here for a feed before a rugby game and while the feel of the place was really good, the hamburgers we were given were full of gristle. I am not sure where they get their meat from, but it was really unpleasant to eat. I am generally not a fussy eater, but when every bite had cartilage or something equivalent in it, I ended up taking the rest home for my dog. It was too noisy to mention it to the others in my group, but afterwards they talked about it too. Really awful burgers... lucky the chips were nice. Service was friendly too, so I hope the burger-meat issue is fixed!
Had my birthday here on Saturday night. As we were all drinking we decided to share and got way too much food but it was all delicious. A variety of pizzas, chicken wings, nachos, chips! It was all delicious and great quality. The service behind the bar deserves a mention too! The staff were all extremely friendly and polite! I left my birthday present there and rang up the next day and they had found it and put it away for me to collect! Was extremely delighted with their honesty! Thanks lighty and look forward to coming there again.
Came for tea, with MM and teenage daughter, we all found a delightful pub meal, but the stand out besides being able to sit out on the deck bedside lake.. The Calamari, lightly floured salt and pepper entree with chips, more than enough for a medium eater was To Die For!! Best I'ver ever had, so get there before it changes. So tender ate every last piece.. OMG..left other posh places for dead. Good range of beers on tap and specials deals and all day menu.. we went back the next day for lunch! The spicy bean mix on the nachos is spicy

The Lighthouse is fantastic place for affordable lunch. The atmosphere is great outside with great views of the lake. Would definitely recommend coming along on a Wednesday night if you are looking for a nightclub in the area. The atmosphere is completely changed with hundreds of uni students attending on Wednesday night, with loud music and flashing lights.Regardless of what you are looking for, this is the place to be in Belconnen.
Nice choice of beers and a chilled out atmosphere. It hots up a bit later and at weekends when most of Canberra's singles come along. I've heard it is sometimes nicknamed, 'Fighthouse' but although people were blazing drunk, I never experienced that element.
Went here as a off the cuff style visit for lunch on a chilly Canberra afternoon. Quite nice ambience inside. Service was efficient without being super friendly. Food was good pub style feed.
It was a scary experience, the flora were sticky, the food was terrible and the wine was worse! It's not the 90s anymore - we expect better from the local pub.

Great place to go in the evening and drink some beer with friends. The view of the lake is beatiful. The staff are polite and friendly. Very good place.
Meals are great value extra good size and low prices. Good seating outside with shade available. Specials on meals are extra good value.
