We visited about a month or so ago Walk in and greated by staff . We got an entree of prawns and tried the blackened chicken and cous cous and the sliders . The prawns were over cooked and the sauce was ordinary. The chicken was so over cooked you could have hammered a nail into the bench with it. The sliders were over cooked and the buns were more like croutons. We spoke to the bar and management came out and spoke to us . We decided to order the squid. They didnt charge us for it and gave us a free drink but didnt give us our money back for the inedible meals. Wont be going back .
Checked out the newly revamped Lighthouse Hotel over the weekend. Rang to make a booking & if first impressions were anything to go by we knew it would be a great night. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service was upbeat & friendly and the new look of the pub suits the new vibe around Port Adelaide. We were impressed with the menu and the opportunity to 'add' to many of the options e.g. Soft shell crab, prawns or chicken. Our shared starter of the onion rings were really tasty & my main course of a seafood platter was great value.
Food was very nice. Waitress did not listen when 2 coffees were also requested. After waiting 20mins no food no coffees. When asked where are our coffees. She stated you didn't order them and proceeded to argue with me then walked off taking no responsibility. Gentleman sorted the issue and was very professional.Maybe next time when she takes an order she LISTENS rather than joking with another female staff member saying "why are laughing at me? you're always laughing at me"All in all an average day in port adelaide.
Nestled in the historical part of Port Adelaide this venue is good for winter or summer. It was a pleasure to get eggs and toast how you order them and a good cup of coffee to help wash it down. Dinner meals are also very nice and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and the prices reasonable. In summer it is pleasurable to sit under the umbrellas outside and enjoy drinks. Called in for a meal to a nice warm dining area not too busy on a Tuesday. Range of daily specials @$10.90 plus usual offerings . 20% discount mon-thurs seniors discount was a good deal.enjoyed a craft chocolate stout portergaff really different as recommended by barman which was a good decision. 2 very tasty chicken parmigiana also good choice. Extensive menu with wide range of food and prices. Very tasty lunch
The two middle age female staff members working had the worst customer service I've experienced in years(Friday 1st April). One was quite verbal about how annoyed she was that someone called to book a table at 7:45pm on a Friday. Good range of beers & ciders. Nice location. Didn't eat any food. Staff let it down.
We were pleased they catered for a variety of selective eaters. Plenty of choices for vegetarian and GF. Staff were helpful and friendly. We all had a very enjoyable lunch inside and then went outside to enjoy another glass of wine and coffee under the umbrellas.
Was advised by staff at Quest this was good place to go. Monday night it was quiet. Ordered the ribs a house specialty and didn't disappoint. Meat just peeled away form the bone. Music was awesome as background. Staff friendly. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Nice food and atmosphere. Located strategically in the corner opposite Fishermans Wharf Port Adelaide. Price are not so low, but quality is great.
