Called in today for lunch with my wife on our day out shopping in Llandudno. Our last visit was a memory of excellent and good value food, alas this was not what we received today. The waiter/ waitress were very pleasant and very helpful during our visit but sorry to say the food didn’t hit the mark. My wife had the ‘famous’ triple cheese and onion pie, she commented that it was like a bought in flan case with a very eggy/cheese filling with a completely different pastry top. I had the calves liver and when it was served couldn’t believe the portion size. I received four tiny morsels of liver, a piece of bacon,about twelve chips, three small pieces of tenderstem broccoli, three strips of cab...
While we were visiting in Llandudno we wanted somewhere to eat this met our requirements. There is a good size car park that you enter just before the property. We had booked a table in the restaurant we were the only ones there which was ok, our drinks order was taken, there is an extensive menu to choose from. There is full waitress service which is good I was going for gammon however they had sold out so went for the 3 cheese pie Lancaster, cheddar Red Leicester I believe. The food took a while to arrive but you have to wait for good food. The food was well presented with 2 large slices of pie. The other meals also look ample in size, the food was very good but a little on the large size....
I went to this restaurant after work and it was very busy, especially in the bar area where people were playing darts. I ordered the calfs liver, which was delicious. My husband had the cheese and onion pie, mashed potatoes, beans, and cheese chive sauce. We visited on a Tuesday, so we took advantage of the pie and pint deal, which was a great value. The table had lovely candle tea lights. The staff, especially a young girl named Milly, were extremely friendly and hardworking. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The pie of the day was delicious and arrived quickly. The portion sizes were generous, especially for the price of a 2-course meal. I highly recommend the cozy lunch menu and the relaxed atmosphere with candlelit tables in the evening. Our server, Gaz, was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Very slow service. Told there was a half-hour wait so fair enough we agreed to that. We didn’t agree to 45 min wait ! The main meal was nice enough but small portion for the price. Then waited about same time for the desert, which was completely tasteless. Mentioned to the server she said I will pass on to the chef , I doubt that will make much difference as think it had been in the freezer far too long!! . Don’t think we will be going back anytime soon. Such a shame as used to be a really nice place to eat
Popped in just the other day with 3 good mates as we were recommended by a family member as soon as we entered the doors greeted by a lovely young lady with very short hair (never got her name) but she really looked after us all evening and provided us with excellent service! The food was 10/10 and the cosy atmosphere was enjoyed. We will be back
10 of us went forva retirement meal. Every dish was superb. Not one complaint from anyone in our group. Highly recommend. Lovely attentive staff. I will definitely visit again very soon. If you cam keep this up Gwesty Links you will soon be the best place to visit. Thank you.
Great venue, food and v helpful staff! Only negative would say is as so busy (on Sunday visited), staff were run off their feet, should have more staff as not fair on those who don't have the time to give the same personal service they'd obv like to?! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
