I always like going to the mixed reviews places to see whether the reviews are fair. Lovely building. Made booking easy, and were accommodating when we called ahead to sat we were late. Kind welcoming reception. We were asked for drinks early on. There is a delay for food but it was not unreasonable, it was a busy time and it was nearly full. Lovely choices on the menu, good variety. Good choices for kids, although it didn’t stipulate that the kids mash had spring onions and my daughter (as I expect many kids would) wanted plain mash. I was so happy I booked here!!! Booked after a chance find on line but will definitely be going back. The staff were friendly and efficient, the venue was just gorgeous classic traditional and stunning and the food was so amazing you would expect it in a posh restaurant!!! Starters and main course were so good and really good portion size too. Thankyou to everyone for a lovely lunch we will definitely be coming back
I made a second visit with a 97-year-old individual who has mobility issues. The staff recognized this and arranged a spacious table for us. The Sunday roast was excellent, and there was a generous portion of food served, with gravy on the side. Everything was of high quality. The service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back again.
