During a road trip, I discovered this hidden gem and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was outstanding. I had the Vietnamese fried fish sandwich with potato salad, and it was delicious—the fish was crispy, the bun was soft, and the Vietnamese twist made it unique. My husband enjoyed the buffalo chicken sandwich with coleslaw. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and clearly made to order. We sat on the covered patio, which had heaters, and even brought our dog outside with us. We will definitely return on our next trip! I recently dined at The Little Hippo after discovering some tempting pictures of their beet sandwich, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The sandwich was incredibly tasty, with a perfect balance of tanginess that made it wonderfully refreshing. The cashier recommended that I try it with their slaw, and I’m so glad I took their suggestion—it was likely the best slaw I've had in a long time! The front desk staff were not particularly welcoming, and unfortunately, the food fell short of my expectations, especially given the price. I was also disappointed by the absence of drink refills.
