This restaurant is on the pricier side. The salmon salad was disappointing, with just a few thin slices of salmon and mostly filled with green leaves. I left feeling unsatisfied after spending $15. To my dismay, I saw the chef preparing food with bare hands, handling crumbs and putting them on rolls without wearing gloves. Despite the lack of mask requirement in Maine, watching someone handle food with dirty fingers was off-putting. The same person also handled payments. When I raised my concerns, the chef was dismissive and rude, claiming he didn't have time to discuss it. I was appalled not only by the high prices, small portions, and lack of cleanliness, but also by the chef's unprofessio...
This restaurant is expensive and not worth the price. The salmon salad portion had only a few thin pieces of salmon and was mostly filled with green leaves in a small box, leaving me feeling hungry even after spending $15. To make matters worse, I observed the chef preparing food with bare hands, handling crab meat without gloves, and then touching my food without any regard for hygiene. When I raised my concerns to the chef, he became rude and dismissive, refusing to address the issue. I do not recommend this place due to the high prices, small portions, and lack of proper infection control measures. I have even reported my experience to the appropriate authorities.
I was visiting Maine and always love to try new places. Came across this little gem and am so glad I tried it! I was hesitant at first because my last crab roll from Maine had too much Mayo for my liking. I changed my mind from the crab roll to the half and half and it was amazing! I can’t choose which side of the roll I liked better! I savored every bite! The side salad was unique but extra tasty as well! The employees (maybe owners were super nice and hard working! I definitely will be back on my next trip!
We stopped dead in our tracks when we saw last Friday's special: hot dogs and HOMEMADE baked beans! Delicious! I can't make homemade baked beans for the life of me so this was a real and rare treat. we stopped dead in our tracks when we last saw Friday special: hot dogs and homemade beans baked! delicious! I can't make homemade beans for living from me so that this was a real and rare tasty bite. an additional bonus was in the position to sit outside on a beautiful day and see all come and go on the main street. Thank you!
We thought the meals were a little pricey, BUT WORTH IT!!! The meals we had were really good and you get a good amount of crab and lobster!! We will return. We love the umbrellas and the ambience of the place. Great little spot!! ???
Very cute hideaway, the owners were kind and down to earth. These Midwesterners found the lobster overpriced and rubbery, but we also don't know what lobster is supposed to taste like.
