We used to love this place but my experience this time was sub-par at best. I was called 3 times to confirm the reservation. The parking is not validated which they did before. Food: I ordered the cumin beef. They severed two tiny skewers with maybe a tablespoon of pineapple salsa. The beef was dry and under seasoned, My husband ordered the Pickerel which was also under seasoned but much better than the beef. My son ordered the Mushroom ragu pasta which was the best of the lot. Sadly, I won’t be coming here again.
The Local is a fantastic restaurant! Every time I visit, I am always impressed by the fresh, healthy, and delicious food. Whether I come for lunch, dinner during the week, or brunch on weekends, I am never disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I have brought both friends and family, and they all had a great time and plan on returning. I can't get enough of The Local restaurant - everything about it is wonderful!
The students of the hospitality program could not have been nicer. 24 of us senior ladies appeared in our red and purple and asked 1 million questions of them. They were entertained by us and we admired their energy.

The Local Cafe is a hidden gem. The food is always delicious and it is a fun place to visit. It is great to meet the students and hear some of their stories.
Such a delicious meal and we were so well taken care of by the student staff. Will definitely be back!
