I loved my breakfast at The Local Shack. What I truly valued was being given a lot, and I mean a lot of food. I ordered the chorizzo scrambled eggs and I was given the hugest serving size possible. I didn't eat again till dinner. Plus the food was tasty! The prices are fairly normal e.g. $19 but the serving sizes are beyond substantial. I am so sick of paying $22 at other places and being given one piece of toast with a small amount of feta and eggs. 10/10 to the Local Shack for feeding me well. At a situation where they were getting a bad rep on the news, me and a friend went to get a dinner there. We ordered two burgers and shared salad and chips together. <br/ <br/ The staff was professional and courteous, served the food quickly and left us to eat in private. <br/ <br/ The atmosphere at first was a bit tense, but quickly dissipated as we munched to our meals. It was delicious, and we enjoyed the experience overall. <br/ <br/ By the end of the meal, we left as families starting to come with their small children playing by the kid corner.<br/ <br/ Hopefully everything is sorted in the management level, would like to visit again sometime in the future.
I came here for breakfast recently and was amazed by how great the service was. We were seen to as soon as we came in, they made us feel very welcome and let us sit at any table we wanted. Drinks came quick the coffee was nice and hot. Our food was delicious; we ordered Eggs Benedict and Eggs your way with mushrooms boy they were generous with the portions! They checked up on us during our meals to ensure we were happy which shows that they care! We will definitely be returning.
Another Scarborough location that has recently had a makeover.The food is basic but tasty its not pretending to be fancy and has a nice relaxed feel. The staff were really friendly and the coffee is good did I mention $8 pints of Tiger??? We had the big Kahuna breakfast, sliders, Shack burger and pancakes for desert all tasted good and was well priced especially compared to the other restaurants in the area. Superb place for Friday drinks with mates. I hang out here with some friends about every two or three months sharing tales, jokes and life's big questions.<br/ <br/ It's got that classic relaxed vibe you find in Scarborough. <br/ <br/ The pizza and wedges work well with the beers and wine and I generally walk home feeling satisfied with my lot in life.<br/ <br/ Worth a visit.
During my visit in Australia I returned to this location several times! The food was tasty and decent quality. Prices were fair and some days had great deals! Happy hour specials were good and cocktails were made properly. The environment is cute with trendy videos and music playing.
Great service would highly recommend. Got the cheeseburger and beer deal on a Saturday and also got a serve of hot wings and nachos to share. All the food was delicious and good value for money, also came out super quick which was awesome. Would recommend
