During our first visit to Belmont, my wife and I stumbled upon a charming little restaurant that exceeded our expectations. We kicked off our meal with the pimento cheese, which I must say was among the best I’ve ever tasted. My wife ordered the burger with a side salad, and I couldn’t resist trying both dishes—they were fantastic! My Angry Bird sandwich was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The food is truly exceptional and quite impressive. The ambiance is a bit too dark for my taste, although it does match the theme of "The Lodge." My parents had some difficulty ordering and paying the bill due to the low lighting. The music is a bit loud, which can make it challenging to communicate with the staff, but they do have some engaging football games playing on TV in the background. From the outside, this place looks a little sketchy. It is a little off the main street and some of the side walls are peeling. Parking is the toughest part, though that affects all Belmont restaurants.Walking inside hits you fast- wow this place is amazing. Took my eyes a little to adjust from the bright sunlight to the darker wood interior. Very warm and inviting. It was Labor Day and we were searching for a diner for our final night in the Belmont, NC area. After an extensive search, we discovered The Lodge, and I couldn't be more impressed. We were seated quickly, and our server was incredibly friendly. She took the time to explain the menu items and always greeted us with a genuine smile. I ordered the club sandwich, and it was a fantastic take on a classic dish. Everyone in our group was very happy with our choice. The restaurant's decor was inviting without being overly ornate, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Quite an unexpected surprise. Decided to eat here for dinner on a whim while we were close by and this restaurant showed up on Google maps. Arrived around 7pm and although it was busy they had tables available for 2 walk-ins. Drinks were very good, service was great, and the food was even better. We got the pork chops and fried chicken, each with 2 sides, and I was pleasantly surprised that not only were they delicious, the flavors had taken traditional southern foods with a twist. Highly recommend the drive to Belmont downtown and check out this restaurant.
The food arrived quickly, which was a plus, but it seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. The burger was decent—cooked well but lacking in seasoning. The fries and onion rings were lukewarm and oily, almost as if the oil needed to be refreshed. Unfortunately, the same was true for the fish sandwich; the batter was overcooked in spots and it was simply seasoned with salt.
Considering we spent $40, I expected a much better experience. I doubt we'll return.
Update: Yet another fantastic dinner, with Summer attending to us. She was kind and fun!Tonight was just extra special! Our steaks were delicious, but the personalized service we got from Jessie M. was definitely above and beyond! She made a special evening even better!Parking: They have a very small lot, but there is street parking and there is a bank lot people use after hours.
This was my FIRST time visiting this restaurant. I went based on the stellar reviews. I had THE BEST QUESO I have had in NC. The chicken tenders were fresh, tasty, and came with a delicious honey mustard. I loved the DIRTY RICE. I wasn 't a huge fan of the drink Whiskey Smash . However, the CUSTOMER SERVICE was immaculate. I will certainly make that 35 minute drive, any day.

Wow, so glad we stopped! Took a chance on a new place and we were so happy we did. Off the beaten path n Belmont. The food was great and the service was amazing. thank you Regan! we had southern BBQ nachos and chicken fried chicken- both were AWESOME! ! We’ll definitely be back!
I stopped by here after my eye appointment and it was really nice. My bartender Cierra made the bomb Moscow mules! They have so many different flavors. They have daily drinks and food specials. I enjoyed myself and will definitely be back.
