it was mine and my partner first trip to the local region and we wanted to see what it had to offer. we stopped at the free parking lot and had the short walk to the marina where we passed this place. after a short wait we went up the steps and see what was in the offer. not only were fresh and wonderful homemade cakes in the offer, there were also hot and cold beverage renewable packaging I can add, but a small selection of amazing lunches. try the Victorian sponge when they go, and if they can enjoy the bark, sniff and gherkin bagel, they can sit at the accommodation or enjoy a walk to the public pool marina outdoors. would definitely recommend!
Lisa and Dave are incredibly welcoming, making their cozy and friendly restaurant a place you could stay in all day. The food is amazing, with a small but delicious savory selection that showcases the chef's confidence. The patties are the best I've ever had, the cheesy scone was delightful, and the soup was full of flavor. The cake options are impressive, and even if you're full, make sure to take a selection of treats or a slice of cake home. I often daydream about enjoying a patty and a mug of tea in the warm and loving atmosphere of The Loft, with soft reggae music playing in the background.
This restaurant is a gem with its friendly and quirky atmosphere, fantastic cakes, and delicious light lunches. It's the best little cafe/tea shop in Essex! The retro decor includes charmingly mismatched cups and saucers from the 60s and 70s. The classy background music from an original Dansette record player adds to the charm. I absolutely adore this place!
The service at this restaurant is fantastic, the atmosphere is lively with vinyl playing, and the homemade menu is amazing. There are plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans, and all tastes including delicious soups, patties, cakes, and drinks.
