Yes we paid £5 a head deposit, to secure the table. The team explained fully why customers are now asked to pay a deposit and that's because too many people book large tables and don't turn up. Wow what a change from the last time we visited. Thought we would come here for a birthday lunch. Probably a bad idea . So far only noticed only 3 members of staff, 1 young lad behind the bar and 1 chap on the floor who was literally doing everything the other waitress was dealing with some engineers who had come in. We required a no fuss enjoyable location that would cater for young and old for a family birthday dinner and get together. We were not disappointed with The Longs Arms at Trowbridge…. From the first phone call to the very end at paying our bill the service was fabulous and we were really made to feel at home. Never fails to amaze me! Friendly is an understatement when it comes to the staff (when they aren’t rushed around off their feet I ordered off the app and arrived very shortly after (not within point 5 seconds because they are only human I’ve been coming to the hungry horse since I was little even worked for them at one point! The food has never failed to disappoint me (sometimes takes a while but worth the wait 100% of the time my steak was delicious thank you! Keep it up Longs Arms!

Great food for what you pay. Super cheap and they do great deals. For a main and a drink, I think me and my boyfriend only ended up paying about £9 each, so can’t go wrong! Only downfall was the service was quite slow. There was only 1 person at the bar so took ages to order and the wait for the food was also very long considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy. It may have been a one-off, but that’s the reason for the 4 stars.
Popped in for an evening meal. Staff were friendly and service was good. Michelle served us and was chatty and engaging. My steak was superb and all round our meals were very good. Generally value for money on the large menu listing.
Despite being short staffed at short noticed the staff at Lomg Arms Hungry Horse at Yarnbrook still gave amazing service. Ciaran was out server at the till and was very helpful. All the staff did an amazing job under such pressure.
I actually like this pub however upon arrival there was 1 customer infrastructure of me being severe and I still had to queue for 25 minutes to get served.NEVET enough staff and they all seem miserable.

Very disappointed as food was cold waitress asked if ok I explained food was cold my husbands chips was unedable so waitress said she would bring fresh chips but she didn't come back
I received my burger with only two onion rings, but they were delicious. The Horseshoe Homer Donut was also very tasty! I would definitely return to this restaurant!
