Great food for a fair price relative to downtown Montpelier. I ordered a wet burrito with chicken and it was excellent. The ingredients included some very fresh guacamole with delicious red sauce and a packed amount of tender pulled chicken cooked as a wrapped burrito and topped with delicious red sauce and some cheese. Although I am not typically a fan of tacos, I must say that the sweet potato taco at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was top-notch. I highly recommend this spot for a delicious lunch option, with prices ranging from $10-20 per person. Food quality, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks from me.
I tried calling the restaurant three times, and two out of those three times, I was sent to voicemail. When I finally got through on the third try, I was asked to hold. However, I could hear employees chatting in the background instead of being put on hold. I eventually gave up and hung up. The takeout service was very disappointing, I would rate it a 1 out of 5.
All the people who work here are just what I like about Vermont. They're pleasant and attentive and welcoming. The food is so perfect too. I love all the pork items on the menu so much. Probably really a 3.5, somehow they didn't have hot sauce for tacos at 1:30 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon. But the Al Pastor tacos were actually pretty good anyway. My wife enjoyed Cubano sandwich, definitely plenty of food. Local beer was fine. I'd go back, though hopefully get some hot sauce next time...
The portion size at this restaurant is extremely disappointing. I paid $14 for just a small amount of rice, beans, and chicken in a disposable container. It felt more like an appetizer than a full meal. Even Chipotle offers much larger portions for the same price.
