Great venue because it has a beer garden, plus usually live music and a DJ so covers all the bases! Good crowd and decent drinks and was grateful to be able to bring our own food in! If you are making a large group booking like I did, I suggest you say more people are coming than you’re expecting so you don’t get crammed into the smallest possible reserved area. I booked for 35 and had three picnic tables and next to zero standing space in the beginning because families had parked three huge proms in the narrow space we did have. Someone next to us had booked for 40, a mere 5 people more, and their space was huge. I think at least six or seven couches and ample standing space. Felt generally...
My big brother’s currently in town, and we had our second catchup meal in the quaint neighbourhood of Battersea. Our newly engaged friends were along for the ride. Being London, the weather was questionable on this Bank Holiday. The Magic Garden has an eclectic, funky vibe. Littered around (litter literally) there’s an old car, mystery shed and a mosaic of old furniture. Coupled with the soft, dirt ground, it made me wonder if it’s for kids or drunk adults. How can I describe this place? Well if you think of a cross between your Nan's back bedroom, a festival and a house party you have kind of got it in one. There was live music on which was pretty good but then off to the side of the bar you sort of find yourself in a room filled with old furniture and a dining table. Wander on from here and you in an outside space under canvas which has a taxi, a couple of sheds and lots of sofa's. The atmosphere was really good the door staff were brilliant and drinks were good value. It really is a cool gaff, utterly brilliant and unique.
Came here for dinner and drinks on a Saturday evening, The food was good, not spectacular, not particularly exciting, but worthy of its price. The venue on the other hand. The venue is exceptional, As you might have inferred from its name, the Magic Garden has a Garden, a magical one at that. it's big, it's furnished and it's completely covered, never have I sat outside in November in such comfort. Best place in London for live music, the staff are on the same vibe as the customers, the decor is chic and unoffesnsive. Haven't been there in a while but every time I go there I have a night like no other venue has yet provided. Garden is huge and full of settees, colourful lights and blankets to keep you warm in the cold. A true gem!
Great vibes here, the staff are friendly and helpful, the garden is truly magical, and the live music is always stand-out! The loos could do with some attention, a couple were out of order when I last visited, but the others function so can't really complain!
Brilliant food for a brilliant price. The staff were really friendly and the drinks were nice too. The vegan options were exceptionally good. Would definitely recommend and go back if in London again.
