We decided to take the kids out for a casual local dinner tonight, so we thought we'd give The Manningham a second chance after a less than stellar visit a few months ago. After waiting five minutes to be seated a staff member sauntered over to see what we wanted. We asked for a table for four so she walked us to a booth, dropped menus on the table and walked off again. Not a good start.As there was about 20 people lined up waiting to order, my wife jumped into the queue to keep the wait to a minimum. (The kids were starving). After 15 minutes, with only one person behind the bar taking both food and drink orders and with the line having barely moved, (and no other staff in sight) we thought...
We met my mother-in-law here for lunch as it is close to her house and she wanted to play the pokies after lunch. My husband and I ordered from the lunch menu, where everything was $15. My husband ordered the Manno Burger. Do not order the Manno Burger if you want a good burger. The meat was tasteless and tasted like sausage meat. Very disappointing. On the other hand, I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was excellent. We would definitely order it again. My mother-in-law had the senior's grilled fish. It looked like one piece of fish on a big pile of chips. Not very appetising to look at but she ate it.
We had a group catch up. Time was limited but the service was fast. The oysters & bruschetta were very nice. The kids had spaghetti & meat balls and said it was yummy. I had the lamb shank and it was lovely - the sauce was just a little to rich/strong. Others had sirloin steak, burger & risotto. The risotto was said to be lacking flavour. It was a freezing night, the venue was quite cool but the toilets were freezing. Parking was easy.
Visited with family at lunchtime on a weekend. Nice location and scenery. Prices for what you got were actually quite high. Ordered the Kids fish and chips for my 10 year old to find it suitable for possibly my 3 year old so had to order a fully size adult burger for my son. Burger was messy, soggy, and meat wasn't that fancy a quality. All in all, the food wasn't that great for what we paid for. Wouldn't really go back again

Food was OK. Nothing was bad or outstanding.However, the service was "interesting". After taking our orders, the staff when serving kept on asking did you order "XXX"?, who ordered this dish and sometimes when told did not seem to comprehend the answer. They probably need substantially more training. The restaurant was nearly empty ,except for our table so they did not have the excuse of being overworked.
Been 10 years since visiting this venue and it hasn't changed. Beer choices are poor in the restaurant with no light beer or VB on tap. No stout or dark ale available with the exception of Guinness and generally a poor draft beer choice fro a pub this size. Food was OK but there are better options.
Went here to celebrate 2 birthdays in the family and enjoyed the ambience plus the great service of the staff. The food were yummy and reasonably priced. Considering it was a friday night, it was not as busy due to its location size. Clean establishment plus quick serving of our orders!
It's a nice place but full of poker machines. Not my liking but we were away from them so not a problem. I find the place a bit difficult to get to without a vehicle.

We visited twice in 1 week so we could take my parents back to experience the friendly helpful wait staff and great food!
Average meals. Service ok but not enough staff on bar. One only to make drinks and take meal orders.
