The Marquis Of Lorne Inn

I stayed at this restaurant for one night and had an excellent experience. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a great view. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of high-quality food. The dinner menu also impressed me, especially the fish and vegetarian options. The location is very rural and quiet, with lovely views. I highly recommend this place. The rooms are nicely furnished and come with the usual amenities like tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathrooms are also satisfactory, with decent showers. Overall, I would give the rooms, service, and location a rating of 5. The highlights of the hotel are the great view and peaceful atmosphere.

What a disappointing experience! After booking a table over the phone and taking a scenic walk with our dog to the restaurant, we were scolded for not knowing that dogs were not allowed in the dining area, despite it not being mentioned on the website or by the staff. We eventually settled in the bar and ordered the Rib of beef, which was not up to par. The Yorkshire puddings and desserts also seemed to be store-bought. It's a shame that this Palmers pub seems to be stuck in the past. We will not be in a hurry to return.

This is absolutely one of the best places to eat in the south west by miles!! It is consistently fantastic with wonderful fresh produce locally sourced. The cooking is always of a really high standard. The staff are wonderful and super friendly. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The best kept secret in Dorset. We stopped here for lunch and a couple of drinks mid-walk and found a friendly welcome, nice local brews and tasty food. Menu was varied and portions generous, the cottage pie with fresh vegetables was lovely. We had two dogs with us so sat in the garden which had plenty of space and a sheltered bit to stay out of the rain or sun. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Food incredible, staff lovely, sat outside with a party including a toddler. Facilities for kids were wonderful. It was very relaxed, but even with all the kids play equipment it didn't feel like we were in playground! Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly
