was the weekend in thaxted, and decided t0 try the mapypole Friday night, I had huh and speck cake and they could say it was homemade with the pieces of huhn and speck, best chicken cake id eaten, hubby had the burger again he said it was excellent, really fleshy and full of flavored, very reasonable price. we enjoyed it so much we went back saturday night and although it was busy, they managed to give us a table, hubby had the chicken cake as mine was so good in the night before. I wanted beef bourguigon to melt so well in the night before, but this had sold out so that I had lammschaft back boiled to perfection, so tasty and delicate good size shares, friendly helpful staff and very cheap...
good eating and very good ambiente. the service varies especially at the bar. parking can also be difficult to revitalize times, but with a public parking a few minutes away.
