We have been regular patrons of the Melting Pot for almost 20 years . The flavor and quality of the food, from salads to entrées was five stars. The orange duck is a particular favorite of ours. The melting pot truly is a dining experience, and that is where they have fallen short the last couple of years. The servers and presentation are part of the that experience. I am sure that staffing issues have led to some of this, but everything was rushed, with no time at the table to explain the cheese they were putting together or the wines that were being brought and entirely wrong entrees were placed at the table. This restaurant is ranked in one of my top 5. The food was amazing and so was the service. I took my youngest daughter here for a pre-Sweet 16 celebration and she loved it. We had a window seat, which was great. The only downfall is that the restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and the homeless population is rampant in this area. It’s not something that I want to see when enjoying my meal or trying to get to my car. Otherwise, a must try.
For the first time at Melting Pot. Service was great and the food was very delicious. The decor left much to wish. Was not impressed by the cocktails. Ends up ordering a beer just because the cocktails were all over sweet. There are no candied pine nuts on a Cesar salad. It was rough. Steak and fish were great. The Wisconsin cheddar was great!
Shown at the time for our 4:30 reservation, but it took 25 minutes to sit at our table, order another 20 for the waiter a drink and get another 20 minutes before our first course on the table. The entire dinner service was 21⁄2 hours. We tried to overthrow things, but the waiter was very inconspicuous.

Friendly staff and great customer service. We we’re celebrating a birthday and we went to watch the wild play afterward. Great experience!
