The Melting Pot Tacoma

I used to come to this restaurant when I was younger and enjoyed it. It used to be the place to go. I last visited in 2016 until last night in June 2024. To my surprise, it looked exactly the same as before. Initially, I thought it was closed until I tried the door handle. The interior was still drab, dark, and depressing. There were only a few people working, with one waiter out of the three available taking 20 minutes to get our drinks after we sat down. He apologized and mentioned they were short-staffed, but it was unclear why no one else from the front came to assist. The food was the same with no new options. The food is delightful and the atmosphere is not noisy at all. Perfect for a romantic night out where you can actually have a conversation with your partner.

The service and food were good but not spectacular. It was a bit of a disappointment, not what I’m accustomed to at the Melting Pot.

Really good food. Our server was very confident took very good care of us. Our late lunch came out to about $80 a person.
