The Melting Pot Town Country MO

Although we had a 10 PM reservation, we started getting texts at 9:10 PM saying that our table is ready. Then asking if we are on our way. We were seated and then moved to another section. They were “out” of green apples for cheese, broccoli for the main course and strawberries for dessert. They took our drinks when they took our main course pot even though I told him we were waiting on dessert. When the dessert pot arrived, the server didn’t bring the spoon with it… or at all. Unfortunately it was not a typical experience there. Checked in upon arrival. Said a little wait. No problem off to the bar for cocktails…..fast forward 40 minutes and I went back to the hostess only to find out we were marked as “running late”. Took little longer to finally make the table. Then our cocktails were all very inconsistent even though they were the same drinks. Then there were some extra noisy and rude customers there the whole time. Considering we were trying to have a quiet evening like typical there it was tough to relax and enjoy the full experience. Plus no one ever apologized or anything for the mix up upon arrival. Yes, fondue is still popular! The Melting Pot has perfected the experience, earning my 5-star Overall rating. Let's be honest, going out for fondue is more about the experience than the food. The food at the Melting Pot is decent at best, but it's all about how you interact with it that makes it enjoyable. The Melting Pot excels in this aspect, as they should after all this time in business. Additionally, our server was excellent - friendly, personable, and very attentive.

We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time, but the service was excellent and the food was really delicious. The atmosphere was great, despite the long wait.
