Well this was a really fantastic happy accident, we were going on a few days break with our Son& our Daughter in Law and stopping in a Hotel near by. So we were looking for a pub near by to have some food and we happened on this place. Boy oh Boy was that our bit of good luck. The place from the outside looks like your everyday pub and its the same inside, but it is a a Burgers lovers delight the menu is quite small but if you are after stunning burgers get there quick. My Son and I had the Pig- inator check the menu its easier Wife had the dirty barbie and the Daughter in Law had the clucking pig. Again check the menu its easier we also added the fries the piggy fries and the kiev fries. Oh...
Randomly found this pub via a quick web search when staying in the area. It's a bit messy and not that appealing walking from the car park to the main entrance but don't be put off! It's simply decorated with friendly staff and a real fire plus dog and kid friendly. But it's the beer and the food you come for. Really good beer choices (some cask and keg) and fabulous food meat eaters, veggies and vegans well catered for with great range of burger options. Probably the best vegan burgers we've ever had and good value too.
After not visiting for a long time, we were enticed by the Mended Drum's advertising of food and decided to give it a try. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and promptly shown to our table. Drinks were brought to us as we perused the menu. Ultimately, we all opted for Parmo's, which turned out to be delicious! Though we skipped dessert, the options looked tempting. The bill was surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and beverages. We will definitely be back soon!
Best burger I have ever had and incredible portion sizes. The menu was absolutely superb with so much choice and flexibility. Sadly no room for pudding. Really friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. Thank you. What an absolutely great place! We’ve found our favourite pub!

This pub is absolutely brilliant, my best friend and I went in for a drink and some food and it was amazing. A great pub with really friendly staff and owners. The food was out of this world! I would highly recommend to anyone passing through or staying in Huby to pop in.
The food here is absolutely fantastic we have been several times and it never fails to impress us with the food offering and portion size there is also a great range of beers and spirits and Lisa,Ricky and the team are always very welcoming
The food was fantastic. There is a great variety of ales and other beers to choose from as well. We were staying in the village and decided to dine out instead of cooking, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be returning.
The appetizer arrived promptly and was fantastic, but the main courses took over an hour and 20 minutes to come out. Some of the dishes were lukewarm, and a few items were cold and had to be returned.

We used to caravan nearby. Took friend for her birthday. steak best ever, all food excellent. Being a Terry Pratchett lover its a must
