The Mintlaw Chipper

This restaurant is amazing! The food is best enjoyed fresh. I personally loved the squid with chips, while my fiancée couldn't get enough of the jumbo scampi. Fraserburgh is famous for its seafood, and the dishes here are as fresh as it gets. We even made a quick trip to Tesco earlier in the day to grab some creamy predators to pair with the ketchup since we didn't have any Canadian prawn cocktail sauce. The meal was definitely worth the extra effort!

I recently relocated to the area and decided to try out this restaurant for the first time. Despite having around 20 staff members, the service was very slow. The prices were high and the quality of the food was subpar, similar to a low-quality fast food restaurant. Next time I crave some fast food, I will be willing to travel a bit further to find a better option. I do not plan on returning to this place.

I recently visited the Mintlaw chip shop and ordered the haddock in breadcrumbs. Unfortunately, it was overcooked and only half of the fish had crumbs on it. I was unable to eat it and was very disappointed, especially since I have not had any issues before. I had been looking forward to it after returning from a holiday. The prices are also higher than other places, so I will not be returning.

This restaurant is terrible. I ordered a steak pie supper and when I opened the box, it was filled with pure grease. My father ordered a triple decker burger supper and didn't receive any chips with it, but was still charged for it. The chips that did come with the meal were burnt. We will not be returning to this restaurant and do not recommend it.

This is likely the top chip shop in Britain. Our meal wasn't greasy, and they used the finest fish and shrimp. We'll definitely return.
