The restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived but still took 10 minutes for someone to actually acknowledge us and advise where we could sit. Waited a further 10 minutes at the bar to order coffee and cake for two people. Another fifteen minutes passed before the lukewarm drinks arrived and most of mine was in the saucer with no apology or offer to replace with a fresh cup… I had to take napkins from a nearby table to mop up the mess. I then had to ask the waitress twice for the cake….all in all a very shoddy experience and we will not be returning anytime soon. I dined at this restaurant in September and while the food was excellent, the service was lacking. I had to request the dessert menu after waiting 20 minutes for it once our dinner plates had been cleared. However, on my most recent visit, there was a significant improvement. The food was delicious once again (although the lasagna was more like a chili it was spicy!) and the service had greatly improved. It's great to see that they took feedback on board and made positive changes. I will definitely be returning.
We were staying at the campsite on a hot tub pitch so it was perfect for a Friday night dinner for me and my wife. The bistro has a fantastic vibe and atmosphere. couch seating areas for coffee, drinks, cake etc. and a dog friendly section. Tomos the cat was in residence as usual. Great character and part of the place. Our food was fantastic. 2 courses, wine and beer for two people for under £60. Fresh and tasty. great flavours and textures. Lovely staff always. A great place, been before, will go again.
My wife and I, like other recent reviewers, found the staff at this restaurant to be polite and welcoming. However, we were disappointed during our visit when we found the bacon in the bacon, Brie, and cranberry baguette to be very fatty. This was unexpected for a restaurant that had recently received a major award. Other restaurants in the area that we have visited in the past have used leaner bacon in this dish.

We ate in the bistro twice and can honestly say that it's some of the best food we've had. The portions were, if anything, a little too generous. I had the field mushrooms one night absolutely gorgeous and much more imaginative than the usual vegetarian options! The bara brith brownie was also beautiful.
we were staying about 30 mins away and had heard about it so we thought we would come for lunch. Everything was nicely presented and we ordered the soup of the day (tomato and red pepper) super tasty and hot, my only complaint was that it was acidic but otherwise tasty. Would definitely recommend
Just back from a lovely evening meal at The Moody Cow Bistro near Aberaeron. What a great place to eat lovely atmosphere, staff, food drink. Good value for money so much better than the expensive not as good) restaurants in Aberaeron town itself! Will definitely be going again.
Every time we have visited this restaurant, we have received a friendly greeting and enjoyed delicious food. Despite its size, the seating areas are designed in a way that creates a cozy atmosphere. The shop is delightful and the unique toilets are a nice touch.

We are so pleased with our first visit to this restaurant. The warm ambience, friendly staff, yummy food and clean surroundings and the place is huge! It's a pity that we discover this place so late when we are about to leave Wales for good.
Food excellent. Mandy was very nice to deal with. However the other lady who served us was rushing us to order, was disengaged and lacking people skills.
