Pretty underwhelmed by the Sunday roast today unfortunately. Chicken was dry (I feel like it was cooked much earlier in the day), Yorkshires were heavy and stodgy, one of the dinners came with no carrot and the sticky toffee pudding was also dry with not enough sauce. The beef was good, and otherwise the food was nice starters and cauliflower cheese in particular were great. Staff were lovely and attentive. Service was quick. But at £50 a head (including starters and a drink) I would expect more. We’ve had far better Sunday roasts in Balham for the same price.
visit my daughter in london and book it this place. Now I have a nut allergy and the manager has to calm me down everything they want when it has nuts in it, we can take them out. our waitress was a charming young lady who would not be out of place in a five star restaurant. brilliant eating and drinks in a very excellent atmosphere. plus a great menu that is not to like.
The highlights: blood orange sorbet, ginger sorbet smash burgers (add some veg at request) regular chips (triple cooked were a little underwhelming) chicken was perfectly flavoured and cooked Espresso martinis What could be improved: hard cold butter the bread broccoli could be a little more crunchy and a little less oily
The roasts looks lovely! Was just a shame that the majority of roasts come with pork. As someone who doesn't eat pork it was either the beef of veggie roast. I went with the Plaice and it was huge! Absolutely loved the music! Service was top notch, food was good and cocktails were amazing. We had a few starters, burgers and a pudding. The bao was spicy with good crisp to the chicken, whipped garlic butter on sourdough was really good too with the bread stealing the show.

I happened to be immersed in this pub, but I think I'm happy. it is more amazing place with even more amazing personal. atmosphere is absolutely remarkable and in the ground, because I am still here, I will finish this review now :d

Nice decor and atmosphere. Great selection of beer and food. Was there with a large party and staff were attentive and accommodating and always making sure we had refills on drinks etc.
