Decided to book up for tea yesterday with the girls and this place as usual did not disappoint been here loads with family over the past few months so this week been a rare opportunity to see the girls we booked up early and as normal we were the last to leave fantastic night food was out of this world and the staff were very friendly we were not made to feel uncomfortable even tho we sat there for 5 hours Would definitely recommend
We hired the back room out for our annual staff meal as had heard good reviews. We initially booked for 22 upped it to 41 and the staff were fine. We all had a sit down meal must day previous hotels we have been to couldnt of done as well as the mowden did today. First one ever with no gripes or issues. The bar lady was fabulous, no pressure, just great hospitality. Thank you to you all see you again next year!
Not a sunday lunch fan neither is my mother so we looked for somewhere that did something else we came across this pub. Wow wow wow ir was heaving so glad we booked up in advance. The food was lovely, the old schools pie had so much meat in it was untrue. We all commented on how nice the staff were the pub itself was spotless. Our new favourite spot.
I had a fantastic lunch here today! The portion sizes were generous and offered excellent value. It had been quite a while since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's easy to see why this place is so popular. There's also a nice bar area at the back, which sets it apart from your typical pub. We will definitely be returning soon! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We decided to wrap up our holiday with tea at the Mowden, having visited many times before. We knew there would be something for everyone, and once again, they did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and wonderful with the kids. For me, a must-have dessert is the sticky toffee pudding—it's absolutely the best!
Attended for dinner, took 45 minutes from taking our order to bringing the food out which was lukewarm as if it had been cooked and ready for ages but someone had forgotten about it. The quality of the food was poor for the prices they are charging.
I stopped by for tea on the last day of term, and I was impressed by how friendly the staff were. The prices for the food were quite reasonable, but the portions were absolutely huge! I would definitely recommend this place.

Came out for mother's day. Extremely average roast, which was luke warm. Very expensive for what we got, roast dinner for a baby £8.95! We won't be coming back, very disappointed.
