If you happen to be traveling through Southend airport, my advice is to steer clear of a restaurant called The Navigator. Firstly, they were out of a lot of items listed on their menu. I attempted to order a vegetarian breakfast but they were out of veggie sausages. The staff also didn't offer to substitute with an extra egg. Despite the fact that the bar wasn't very busy, the service was slow and inefficient. We ordered a brownie that never arrived, yet we were still charged for it. The food was subpar, with what seemed like store-bought guacamole. I would recommend trying the restaurant next door or stopping by Costa instead, as they may offer a more professional dining experience.
From start to finish. They know you are stuck at an airport and from the quality to the prices it’s perfect designed to rip you off! Had a Merlot which was made with acid. Disgusting!! Had a jumbo sausage roll that the meat looked like vomit and tasted like it as well. Such a shame that from every angel they just want to squeeze every penny out of you. Make a sandwich before you get here at home. Buy some alcohol from the duty free and drink it at the airport! What an awful experience! Shame on the people that own it!!
Waiting for our flight we decided to go for an early lunch. The Navigator fitted our needs. The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced, for an airport. The service was excellent and with a pleasant smile. The food arrived quickly and hot. My only comment is that typical it is a bit noisy .
What’s the point in having a restaurant selling breakfast that can’t serve food an hour an fifteen minutes before a flight! Place is a joke Don’t even have a cup to serve a coffee in but direct you to Costa! Staff are rude an beer overpriced! Stick to flying from stansted in future!!!

All of this got a takeaway coffee and still water! Had to complete 5 minutes of pointless forms before being able to enter. Once inside, made to self serve via there online menu and at the checkout none of the payment options worked! Rubbish!
The pub is nicely decorated, but the food is disappointing and does not meet any expectations, it's even lower quality than a roadside cafe. It's a good place to hang out, but you might want to stick to just having a drink.
Danielle and lel at the bar were most accommodating made the whole airport experience fantastic, especially with the banter and a wee tipple for me and the Bruv. The gin for the ladies was good with a nice strawberry
This restaurant is a delightful spot to unwind before catching a flight. The drinks are a bit pricey, as to be expected at an airport, but they were delicious. The staff is very friendly and I have no complaints.

Stopped for a drink before the flight. The pub was empty and we got our drinks very quickly. Comfortable seating and a nice atmosphere to relax before boarding.
Dinky little airport but had this OK bar where you can kill time before loading. Neither a let down or anything special.
