Last visited here a few years ago when I think was under different owners, the standards have dropped so far in that time. The lady that showed us to our table was lovely, but our waitress was the opposite, it was as if she was doing us a favour by being there, she was miserable and inattentive. Had a starter that was poor, then had lemon sole which was watery and did not seem properly cooked in the middle, told the waitress who just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. Would not go back.
We chose to dine here because we could take our dogs into the restaurant. We loved dinner here, the speedy and attentive service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. We had a selection of fish dishes which were all good and appropriately price. We’d highly recommend this restaurant especially if you’re looking for somewhere with your fury friend.
I had a really good vegan full English, and my brother had vegan pancakes (the cream could be substituted with coconut cream). The full English had hash browns (I love them) and all the food was homemade- it was really good! The staff are very friendly and it is a nice location- we ate whilst watching the sea!
The vegan breakfast option was yummy. It included a breakfast patty, avocado, tomatoes, hash brown, spinach, baked beans, mushrooms and sourdough bread with vegan spread.
