Very highly recommended. Good value. Three of us just had Sunday lunch. Absolutely stuffed. Had large roast pork , large beef and small roast chicken. Plenty of meat and roast potatoes on all three plates, other veg arrived in dishes again so much. Next time will have the small as we also had the home cooked puddings. All fresh and tasty. Well, the diet starts again tomorrow.
I am fortunate to have this pub right in my neighborhood as a local. I dine here frequently. The menu offers a variety of delicious options at various price points to accommodate everyone. I suggest making a reservation, as it can get quite busy during peak hours.
The owner was very welcoming and allowed dogs into the restaurant. The food was decent, but we requested extra gravy for the pie, which was necessary. The portions of pie and burger were large. I would consider returning, but would prefer smaller portion options.

Lovely pub. Good ales and food. Would have got 5 stars but the fire was not lit! Just me being fussy because it was a chilly wet evening. Staff very good as well.
We go there for Sunday lunch can't fault it Loads of meat and veg have never managed to eat it all yet
